At Begin Again Yoga, we believe movement should meet you where you are—not where you think you should be.
Your body, energy, and capacity changes. Your practice can, too.
Acknowledge. Surrender. Transform. Begin Again.
Our name comes from the idea that beginning again isn't something reserved for life's big turning points. We have the opportunity to do it every day, in every practice, with every breath.
One posture captures this for us: Pārśva Śavāsana (Side Corpse Pose), the fetal position, the pose for new beginnings. It is a shape we knew before we were born and one we instinctively return to for comfort. At the end of practice, it offers a moment to pause before getting back up—a reminder that no matter what brought us here, we can take the next step forward and begin again.
We aren't here to chase the "perfect" pose or push our bodies toward pain. We practice listening—to our breath, our bodies, our energy, and what we need today. Sometimes that means going deeper, and sometimes it means doing less.
We all need a balance of movement and stillness.
Begin Again is a place where you can move, rest, explore, connect, and build a positive relationship with your body that will sustain you for years to come.
Here, there is no pressure to become someone else.
Our hope is that through this community you will come home to yourself.
Welcome to Begin Again Yoga.
Who We Are
-
In the heart of downtown Hillsborough, Begin Again Yoga is a community space to gather, develop deep awareness, and find renewal. We provide group classes and individual sessions that cultivate the building of strength, mobility and resilience alongside rest and recovery.
Many of our classes are heated, creating the unique opportunity for you to sweat, detoxify, and increase endurance while you practice.
We move together on a journey toward healing, hope and joy.
-
We envision a community that practices the art of listening. Through awareness and presence in our own bodies we are better able to interact with others with a renewed sense of respect and care.
We see a place where people learn to trust themselves, honor their seasons, and accept ongoing cycles of change. Through movement and rest we develop the willingness to begin again–—again and again.
-
At Begin Again Yoga, we value transformation. We believe the most powerful practice is the one that meets you where you are.
Transformation begins with awareness. First, we acknowledge our current state—our breath, body, thoughts, emotions, and energy level.
Then, we surrender the need to force, control, or become something we are not.
From that place, transformation unfolds naturally through consistent practice together.
